Cabin Berth
Thinking of converting main saloon settee to double berth. Anyone tried this? Many thanks

I have considered the idea, but couldn't quite come up with a design that would work. Good luck!

Not the same as the bench settee, just for an idea.
On another boat I added a slide out plywood that sat on existing which allowed the cushions to fill in the space.

HH

You do not mention which GB you have.

In my early GB42 #139 (1970) the table lowers and there are two plywood fillers that fill the gap between the table and the settee. The cushion backs then go over the table to make a large mattress.

Somewhere in this form I posted the measurements of the filler pieces.

Fair winds.
