Raymarine ST70 Autopilot Control Head

After plenty of interaction with Raymarine's ST70 autopilot control head I have developed a dislike for it.

As you can see the buttons for + or - 1 degree change are located right above those for + or - 10 degree change. There is no difference in feel between these buttons, nor much of a contour change from one to the next. Hence, it is quite easy to hit the 10 degree change when you intend to change just 1 degree.

The rest of the autopilot system is fine and offers very good flexibility. The wireless remote control head is great and offers just a + or - 1 degree change.

It's a shame you dont like it...... it's the same as the one I fitted to Little Ship last winter and I personally think it's the best one I have ever used. My friend calls it "Play Station Steering" :)

To each their own.

"Little Ship"
