Grand Banks Logos

Equipment and vessels for sale.

Postby Rick O » Wed Mar 22, 2017 7:10 pm

Hi Barry

I believe I was on the list early wanting a pair of the logos.
I had ordered some step rails from you months ago and was happy with your work.

I have been following the thread waiting on notice of how much and when I could expect them.

Was I mistakenly in this assumption?

Hi Barry,
I actually started this whole thread about Grand Banks Logos. Do you have any that are complete? I really want two.
Thanks,
Bryant

Doug
I have 3 left that are unspoken for. If these find homes I will be glad to cast another batch. I am getting ready to cast a mast hinge that John Good has designed. He may want to have it reproduced if it works well.
Thanks Barry

Grand Banks Logo

Postby Grinnin Barrett » Fri May 19, 2017 11:17 am

I am a bit confused. I was included on Greg's 2/19/17 list for a pair. If I missed that opportunity and there are 3 unspoken for I'll take a pair...To be sure I am on the right page, I am talking about the attached which are 4 x 6.

Grand Banks Nameplates

Postby Grinnin Barrett » Tue May 30, 2017 4:12 pm

The nameplates are awesome. But they are a lot heavier than I expected (not a bad thing at all). I'd like to ask how everyone is mounting them. Are you drilling holes and screwing them (with 5200) into the fiberglass or going all the way into the salon with small lag bolts, washers and cap nuts?

Thanks!

Barry,
I sent you a personal e-mail to the address you gave me earlier but it got kicked back (atbarryluke36@gmail.com), am I missing a "T" as in ATT?

I had a hole drilled in each corner. Then we put 5200 on the back and screwed the logos into the fiberglass with small bronze screws. Seems to have worked fine. I was a little concerned about the weight as well but my boat carpenter said that wouldn't be a problem at all when mounted this way.
