Wonderful! The best part of rendezvous is seeing good friends and making new ones. We'll have a cold one ready for you! See you soon.

Well, less than a week away. Registration is closed with 70+ boats registered. Looking forward to it. Now let's see how the weather committee does. :)

For those planning on crossing from Port Townsend to Cattle Pass on Wednesday I have found a new wind forecast online. It is a free program found at www.windyty.com. Just zoom in to the San Juan area to get details.

If you click on the map it will give very detailed forecasts for that area. I have been using it for about a month now and find it relatively accurate.

It currently predicts a nice crossing.

Now I have probably condemned you all

For all of us slow boaters, check the currents for Wednesday. They are a flowin after 1200!

I posted a comment in a different section of this form about my day. I left the Rendezvous in Roche Harbor at 1030 Saturday morning to go to Sidney BC with the intent of returning to Roche Harbor for the GB dinner and party.

Due to very rough water in Harro Strait we did not make it back and I am still in Sidney.

I would like to thank all those involved in the organization of the Rendezvous. I had an excellent time, drank too much on Friday evening, talked too much (as always) and learned many new things about Grand Banks 42's all of which I have now forgotten. I have not forgotten that I promised shift knobs to CAVOK and Ebbtide :-)

I am sorry I missed the last evening and the great start on Sunday morning but Thank You to every one!!

Fair winds.

Don, pleasure having you and Brassbounder there, as always. It was a great weekend with perfect weather, if a bit cloudy and cool Sat evening. Sorry you didn't make it back. Wonderful seeing all the old salts as well as many first-timers.

Great to see everyone and catch up a bit at the Rendezvous! Deb and I needed to depart on Saturday for Bellingham to pick up our oldest daughter, Katie. We then cruised to Sidney to check in and the Gulf Islands. Now we are in Port Townsend, on our way to Bell Harbor in Seattle to drop off Katie so she can get to SeaTac and fly back East. Then, we will work our way back to Bellingham. It has been a wonderful cruise, our summer break this year. If interested, our blog is at: http://www.sailblogs.com/member/col/?show=fulltoc

Cheers,

Don and Debbie
