Absolutely not! Every thinking person knows that to give something for free to someone, it must have first been taken from someone else.

Fortunately the world is full of different forms of government. Those who like Free Healthcare or hate guns, can immigrate to countries who have laws they like. I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is walk across the border, or go there for a visit and then stay. Just like the US, every other country in the world will allow you to stay and get public funds to live on.

Although if you really talk to people from countries like Canada, they complain of long waits for healthcare, having to buy additional policies to cover things not covered by "free" healthcare and other problems. This type of system is especially harmful to elderly.

Those who hate guns are free to not have one. We even have special Gun Free areas for people to feel safe in. Your children are safe in schools and colleges (university) because it's illegal to have a gun there. Theaters in the US and even France are safe because there are no guns allowed. The laws banning guns there are working well. Laws banning guns everywhere will work equally well.

What exactly makes anyone think that if you make guns illegal the criminals will obey those laws? They've already shown they don't obey the gun free zone laws and many got their guns they used illegally. If the criminals were law abiding, they wouldn't shoot people to start with. Or stab people, or beat them to death with bats, or strangle them, or use any of the other myriad of methods to kill.

Instead of making more laws that criminals don't obey, how about we enforce the laws we already have? How do criminals with 6 DUI convictions get a 7th? Why do we let criminals with pages of convictions stay out on the street to commit more crime? Once we decide to punish criminals instead of "rehabilitate" and "help" them, we'll be on the road to success again.

We need to re-boot, but we need to go back to our original settings, not the virus infected, anti-gun, anti-work, victim mentality that has infected our lives.

Thanks Tom for the humor....2Bucks is living on the wrong side of the Cascade Range as he is awash in a sea of blue....at least you can now have a sense of political divisiveness in this country..."us against them", not what is in the best interest of the country....maybe the blame can be placed on too much football viewing...

Tom

Now you have done it!

When I was in the navy one of the rules in the wardroom was to never discuss;
Religion
Politics
Women by name

Stick to some thing simple like types of anchors or what is the best varnish.

 :o :P

It would be interesting to understand what you believe is in the best interests of the US, Bill. You live on the same side as Ken. Tell us. :)
Good luck,

Yes, Tom has a sense of humor. He gets a good laugh while making guests stand out in the rain handling dock lines ad posting pictures of them with a trophy winning fish photoshopped to look like bait.

Why is it most shootings of mass murders happen in gun free zones? San Bernardino comes to mind as others do too.

Tom, I'm now hoisting a cold Guinness in your honor. We can agree to disagree on how our countries are run, as long as we do agree on GB's, Lehmans, and beer.
