Duplicate Door key

Postby Ken and Jess » Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:25 pm

I need to have a duplicate door key made for my 88 Classic. I have been unable to locate a place that has the correct blank. My boat is in Bellingham, Wa. I could go to Anacortes or Seattle or mail it to someone if necessary. Any ideas?

If your lockset is Legge, you will not locate blanks at your hardware store. Search the internet for marine Legge key blanks and you'll find a few sources for the blank purchase.
Best of luck...

Ken and Jess,

Security Solutions in Bellingham has the Legge blanks. They are about the only place in the Puget Sound region we have found that carries them. They are located at the corner of N State St and Franklin St. The retail key shop is across Franklin (on the east side) from the big storefront that does commercial security systems. They made spares for my 88 CL and we use them regularly for brokerage and charter boats, so you should be good.

I've used a blank from ILCO. Look for ILCO 62LG. I can't find it in a local hardware store. Found a source on eBay. Also, eBay has a current listing for a Legge blanks for Grand Banks...$25 for two. No affiliation.
