An honest and competent boatyard in SW Florida

"Otter" just splashed back into the water after a 3 month stay in Bob and Annies Boatyard in St James City, FL (on the south end of Pine Island, to the west of Cape Coral). We had the bottom repaired - peeled, filled, new layer of bi-axial cloth & mat, faired, 5 coats of barrier coat, 2 coats of bottom paint - right out of the recommended method in the Passagemaker article.

What's notable is that the boatyard stuck by their original estimate, no gouging, no complaining, no cost overruns!

Bob and Annies is also notable in that it has one of the last remaining marine railways in Florida - great for the GB Woodies, where they can get a most gentle ride up and out (the "Leonard B.", a GB 42, is on the ways right now) without the compressive crushing of a travellift. Find them at
