Scuppers

Postby Boyd Godfrey » Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:17 pm

Okay, so I've got the teak stripped off the decks and all 9000 holes have been filled and faired. With the teal gone my deck surface is now about a half inch lower than the scuppers. How have others dealt with this? FWIW she's a very early glass 42 - Thanks

Don’t have answers for you but Following your progress. Interested to know details. How many hours thus far? Have you checked for rotted core? Pictures? Do you feel that the deck has enough strength without adding glass? That would resolve your scupper issue.

Charlie I'm lucky in that ours is a very early glass 42 and seriously overbuilt. The decks are solid as a rock and I've not found any rot.
