Sea Star hydraulic steering

Our 92 GB Europa has a steering leak. After eight hours of running it will leak 1/4 cup of fluid.

By process of elimination, it has been narrowed down to a place in the bridge where the auto pilot pump hoses and hydraulic lines meet.

The A/P hoses are plastic, the original manual lines are copper or brass.

My thoughts are the hard lines have rubbed together and worn a pin hole between them. Will confirm in a couple weeks.

Has anyone spliced into a hard pipe with replacement plastic hose? If so, where did you purchase materials and where did you use it? Has anyone used Stratflex or similar SS jacketed hose?

Will post pictures when I start repairs.

All ideas or war stories welcome.

Traced leak to Garmin auto pilot pump. Cost more to fix but much easier.
