Lens replacement - FIC - fuse holder

Postby Bruce Marino » Mon Feb 29, 2016 6:26 pm

All 4 of our FIC fuse holder lens ( the plastic covers ) are cranked, discolored, dryer out and falling apart after 25 years - the FIC Corp will not sell just the plastic lens covers - they want to sell me the whole complete cartridge fuse holder - about $ 150 each -
- does anyone have a source for a replacement of any kind ?

Smart plug

Look in to Smart Plug. Fix problem and upgrade protection at same time. Google and YouTube. Worth learning about. Try www.panbo.com/.../smartplug. It is very well constructed, has much more contact area on blades and it has a over heat shut off built in.

Hi,
Try Wards electric. I ordered 4 lenses, pricey at $25/per. They are sometimes available on eBay.

Good luck,
Roger

Thanks Roger - just called Wards - counter guy said no parts are available - when I pressed him, he went back in the stock room and checked - they have 24 in stock - thanks again -
