i have a 1990 46 Classic with Cat 3208 TA's 375 HP. with flowscans... i have all of the fuel burn numers on the boat, but i can tell you the sweet spot is 1800 RPM, Burns 10 gal hr total and doing 11 knots.

My pump is mounted on a piece of 3" diameter flexible water tubing. 95 percent of the noise it transmitted by the vibration of the pump to the boats structure. So if you can "decouple" the boat and the pump, it will be way quiter. Just grab a 6" piece of hose from home depot and ...

Thanks for the input.. has anyone had better success with a certain brand of varnish in cold weather?

also, are there any tricks? does the can of varnish need to be warm or the same temp as the air etc???

Varnishing in the winter

Shanti will be stored for the winter inside a non heated building... i was wondering if anyone has attempted to do vanish work in cold temps (30-50 degrees F)

seems like a good way to spend my winter and get a jump start on boat work...

any tips would be apprecriated.

you removed the "cover" the fuse is a strandard household 50 amp fuse. the whole cap spins off and then you can see the fuse. what you are looking at now with the cover off is the indicator light...

hatterras aslo used these a lot and you can usually find them at a hatteras dealer.

Bob, I assume this cover is just glued on? What will i find if i pry off the cover? will it be like a thruhull or does the hose somehow attach to this fiberglass cover?
