Shaft Log

You want to move the packing rub area either forward or aft. I purchased a 6" longer piece of heavy rubber hose and pull shaft aft. Then replaced short hose with longer one moving pitted shaft area away from Gortex packing material.

Racor Fuel Filters

The Dual 500 unit with vacuum gauge and selector handle is a great unit. The units come with metal bowl fire protection. Make sure you can mount with room to drain off any water or dirt. And room on top to change filters if needed. I keep a gallon of new fuel to refill the fuel containers if I need ...

Trucking 36" across.

The final cost estimate to ship 36' GB Europa from Port Townsend, Wa. to upper Miss. River was about $ 12,000. Plus what ever I may have forgot. I will wait for something this side of the Miss. River.

Navy ship

The Officer in Charge of ship should be hung for killing 10 sailors who put their lifes in his hands. The North Korean Navy has nothing to worry about. How many more accidents will be allowed before Sec. of the Navy gets off his ass and has a total review of procedures. I am ashamed of our Navy.

Battery Charger On Off during Start.

I turn my charger off prior to Start. Charger Techs have told me that a smart charger will see the Start and turn the charging cycle off, but if there is a weak link in the charger, you could do damage. So why take a chance. Once your engine is running now make sure your alternator is putting a char...
