Re: On board PC

For the router, depending on the service provider you have, Cradlepoint makes some great stuff. MBR1400 is good and will run on 12vdc. I prefer a nav system that is somewhat independent on ships systems when push comes to shove. Therefore it is a laptop which is plugged into a charger 99.9% of the t...

Re: Turbulator

Larry --
I found the brief write up I did sometime ago. See attachment.

I checked to see if the pump could be upgraded but the next larger one simply won't fit. Suffice it to say, i am stuck with the 15,000. sbmar.com is a great source of Cummins information as well.

Good Luck !

Re: Turbulator

I have done that -- actually had to place two of them in the exhaust after the riser/elbow; one at the top and one at the bottom of the short run before the elbow. It cured the problem of the elbow overheating and cracking. I did replace the hose with silicon high temp (the blue stuff) to further av...

Do you have a holding plate(s) or evaporator plate? '91 means it is likely your system is R12 which is hard to find ($$$$$) and you have to be 'licensed'. Changing the chemistry will require either the capillary tube or the TVX valve to be changed too, depending on the type. Mine failed last spring ...

Should be pretty close to the Sedan 8) I don't recall the exact dimensions, but when i had the boat on the trailer it was just around 13' to the top of the windscreen. I took the screen off and the driver wasn't too worried but we still had to have pace cars, and he took every exit just to avoid pro...

The stuff GB used is Polybutylene pipe. Now banned from new construction as it hardens and becomes brittle when exposed to chlorine. Go figure. Sharkbite makes a coupler -- Polybutylene <-> PEX. I tossed the compression rings away and used the 'pinch' rings as the tool is cheaper and easier to get i...
