Par Hand Pump Rebuild

Anyone rebuilt one of these pumps? The rubber base cap has hardened beyond removal. If so, 1)How did you get it apart? 2) Can you get parts?

Re: Fuel Tank Refit (was aft shower pan)

Good old sawzall, and lots of blades. I found that using longer blades gives you more working time, with a sharp blade, between changes, as you can work different sections of the blade as you cut. I bought a new DeWalt with the quick change blade holder. Recommended!!! Just be careful you don't pull...

Re: Fuel Tank Refit (was aft shower pan)

Imagine, I decided that for about 1k more I could have the tanks (6) built by a welding shop that does them every day. I'm an ok welder but the welds on these tanks look like a CNC did them and they are beautiful. That let me focus on "the rest of the story" Like engine coolers etc.. Plus ...

Mine are mounted horizontally, and I don't know which is in or out. not sire it matters. I just reconnected the hoses in the order of removal.

Re: New Exhaust

I knew it was going to easily. I took my trusty sawzall to the old 8" hose, and installed the new fiberglass pipe. Then upon examining the muffler, I noticed signs of leakage, almost always caused by overheating.mufleakresiz.jpg[/attac...

Re: CHARGE START BATTERY FROM INVERTER

Sounds like you have a lot going on there. I'm no expert, but ... " There is a diode in sense wire that we believe boosts output voltage to level required by AGM batteries." I don't believe a diode can boost voltage. They're like check valves to restrict the direction of the current. Witho...

Re: Battery Charger Replacement

I recently installed a Xantrex 40A charger. It works well, but this unit doesn't provide good charge state information either. Only the percentage of the output as a whole. On my previous boat (Morgan 45) I installed the Blue Sea P-12. It will display the state of each bank as well as a temperature ...

Re: New Exhaust

Thanks for that suggestion. I've never noticed them on exhaust systems before, and I'm a delivery captain. I'll look into it further. The original elbow in my boat split the full length of the inside curve, starting this whole exercise.
